Half an hour later, Vicky brought supper to the dining room where Tyler was waiting after he changed his clothes.
She set the food on the table and sat on a chair across from Tyler.
Tyler picked up a spoon elegantly. Marveled by how majestic his every move was, she made a mental note to herself that this might be the reason why all women threw themselves at him.
She stared at him and said, “Do you know that Gloria is missing?”
He paused and looked up at Vicky. “Missing?”
“Have you not gone to see her today?”
“No,” he said. “My schedule is packed today, so I didn’t have time for that.”
She observed his expression. “Is that why you stayed in the hospital with her all night yesterday?”
He narrowed his eyes and stared into her eyes. “No. I returned to the office from the hospital last night.”
Vicky had seen the surveillance footage of the hospital and knew that Tyler left the hospital half an hour after Vicky left. Still, she had to ask about it as it would be odd for a wife to not ask any questions when her husband did not return home.
