Lena smiled and glanced at the door from the corner of her eye. Zachary had left it ajar when he entered, either overly confident in his skills or underestimating her due to her young age.

“Eat quickly,” Zachary said, eyeing her. “Once you finish, I’ll need to send you away.”

“Mm, I understand.”

“Aren’t you scared?”

“Why should I be?” Lena replied with a faint smile. “The one who should be afraid… is you.”
