“Why don’t we have dinner together?” she suggested. “Lucas is busy with something at the hospital today and will return very late. I don’t have plans anyway.” 

Stella gave it a little thought before agreeing to Yvonne’s suggestion. Both of them would probably have fewer opportunities to meet in the future and share a meal. She had no reason to reject Yvonne. 

“I call dibs on treating you!” she insisted. “You can pick a place.”
