"Grandma is active on social media. Our appearance at such a public place will surely be spotted by others and posted on the Internet. Since we've already gotten off work, why don't we head over now?"

Gareth did not respond but stood up. He had no intention of talking or paying attention to Elisa.

Elisa was not bothered because she was used to Gareth's cold attitude. She never had a sense of existence around Gareth. She was depressed in the past, but now she couldn't care less and was at ease to be ignored by Gareth.

She stood up and walked out of the restaurant with Gareth.

Gareth gave Jeremy a call, who was headed to Wickam Manor too.

After getting into the car, Elisa fastened her seat belt. Gareth didn't say a word throughout the journey.

Elisa was bored, so she took out her phone and scrolled through Twitter.

She couldn't search for any news about Nicole, but the pictures of her and Gareth walking out of Wickam Group were posted on the Internet. There were also pictures of them eating together in the restaurant.

There was a multitude of comments under the post. Some suggested they were a perfect match; some opined they should stay away from each other since they were divorced; some remarked their private affair shouldn't influence the collaboration between their companies.

There were also people who felt sorry for Nicole because Elisa appeared as a love rival.

Elisa smirked as she deemed the comments as jokes. If she took them to heart, she might genuinely think Gareth and her were a perfect match. Or, she would be upset at the nasty comments.

She did not expect her news to often become trending topics ever since the divorce, and she was astonished by the impact. Nevertheless, she didn't deliberately hide the haters' comments because it could cause the situation to spiral. Although hiding the comments could be a quick solution, the netizens who were active on Twitter would notice her action. If she attempted to explain, it would only make matters worse.

Nicole's incident was the best example. Because she deliberately suppressed certain reports, the netizens created various sarcastic memes to criticize her.

Elisa kept away her phone after scrolling through Twitter. It seemed like she had involuntarily made enemies. In the past, Nicole didn't like her but would not mess with her. Moving forward, Elisa was worried that some people with evil intentions would instigate Nicole to come after her.
