Lionel was holding a meeting with the higher-ups at the exclusive conference room at Saunders Group to come up with a new plan when the door was kicked open.

Victor stormed into the room, walked straight to the main seat, and lifted Lionel by the collar.

“You hypocrite! How dare you play tricks to buy my shares and reap the profits? All of a sudden, you're now the director. How dare that b*tch bring in an ingrate?”

Lionel's eyes instantly turned gloomy as he shoved Victor. “Yell at me all you want but watch your tongue. Don't insult my wife.”

Victor snorted lightly and spat at Lionel. “Oh, still pretending to be a saint, are you? All of you are hypocrites. None of you dare to covet my shares openly for fear of being criticized by the public. Yet, you play tricks behind my back. I won't accept defeat. Saunders Group is mine. I'm the director. What makes you think you have the right to stand there and give orders?”

Lionel turned his head and gave his executive assistant a look.

Understanding what it meant, the assistant whipped out a document from the briefcase and handed it to Victor.

“Mr. Saunders, this is the transfer of ownership document when you sold the shares. Mr. Gezmond bought the shares according to the market price. Everything is clearly written in black and white. There's no use getting him to pay back.”

Victor snatched the document. After glancing through the agreement, he swiftly tore the papers, wanting to get rid of the evidence.

The surrounding shareholders cried out in surprise when they saw that.

They had had enough of Victor ruining the company. Now that they had finally gotten rid of the troublemaker and received Lionel as Saunders Group's leader, they could not just watch him tear up the evidence and return to the company.

Victor burst out laughing when he saw the crowd's anxious expressions. They looked as if they wanted to skin him alive right there and then. “The agreement is gone, so the shares are still mine. Even the director's position is still mine. How do you feel? Infuriated? Mad? Then continue being mad. This is what you lackeys deserve.”

“Y-You... How dare you!”

“Looks like Saunders Group is done for. There's no saving it.”

“It's a century-old business. Is it going to be destroyed just like that?”

“We've poured our lifetime's worth of labor into it. A lifetime's worth!”

Victor laughed more maniacally. “Let me tell you something. I'm going to sell all the shares. Not only that, I'll sell the company and leave nothing for all of you.”

“Y-You...”

A short-tempered shareholder instantly passed out in anger.

Lionel cast the arrogant person an icy look while saying nonchalantly, “Why are you so happy? The one you tore up was just a copy of the original document. In fact, I'm sending the original document to the notary office right now.”

The malicious smile on Victor's face froze.

When he returned to his senses, he pulled out a dagger and aimed it at Lionel's heart.

Lionel sneered and dodged the weapon swiftly.

He then hit Victor's arm, disarming him.

Clang!

Just as Victor bent down to pick it up, Lionel kicked his shoulder and sent him stumbling backward.

“Get him out,” he ordered the bodyguards standing by the side.

“Understood.”

Immediately, the bodyguards, dressed in black, locked Victor's arms and dragged him out of the room.

A series of insults instantly echoed throughout the room.

Victor was tossed out of the building by the bodyguards.

There was no way he could make his way into the building again when so many bodyguards were around.

He was no fool. Naturally, he knew there was nothing he could do anymore.

The assistant was absolutely right. Lionel had purchased those shares at the market price. There was nothing Victor could do no matter who owned the shares.

“How did it go, Mr. Victor? What did Mr. Gezmond say?” Sean rushed over from afar.

Victor pulled his hair restlessly. “How much money do we have left?”

“N-Not much. It won't be enough for you to gamble the entire night.”

After giving it some thought, Victor hissed, “Auction off the Saunders residence.”

A look of confusion spread over Sean's face. “M-Mr. Victor, that's the house passed down by your ancestors. It's the foundation of the Saunders family. Are you really going to sell it?” he asked anxiously.

Victor glared at him and muttered icily, “You're not from the Saunders family. Why do you care so much? Just do what I say and sell it.”

“O-Okay.”

Meanwhile, at the Xuereb residence, Olivia gazed at her son, who was lying on the bed. Hesitance flashed past her eyes.

Should I really do it? If Scarlett gets pregnant, then... But if I don't do that, Justin will definitely join that b*tch from the Revelle family when she dies. I can't watch him commit suicide.

She stood beside the bed and hesitated for a moment. In the end, she made up her mind and said to the doctor, “Hurry up and collect it.”
