Thalassa knew Dr. Funke was irate because Royal Estates had tried to lure him with cash to treat Lysander's legs. Using money to seek medical help is the norm, a standard practice in seeking a doctor's services. But Dr. Funke was different. He wasn't someone who could be swayed by financial incentives.
