Melody mumbled to herself, blissfully unaware that Lucas had fallen asleep at some point. His company had been super busy with a major acquisition that kept him occupied throughout the day. As she gazed at the dark blue hue of his eyes, Melody felt a pang of distress. She touched his face gently and got up cautiously to switch off the light.
