Meg shoved Sadie in annoyance. "It's called attraction-tell me, who wouldn't be interested in your gorgeous mentor? Don't you think that I don't know about your intention to jump him too." Sadie shrugged. "Even if I do have such intentions, I never once took action, unlike you, playing the blushing maiden while barely keeping your libido in check. What even is that?" As the two ladies joked around, Frank decided that it was boring for him and went upstairs.

Before he got to the top floor, however, he heard Ida Cahn breathing heavily, as if exerting herself.

There was another person breathing, but he was calm and steady-he was a martial artist like Frank, and a good one at that.

Surprised, Frank quickly kicked open the door to find Ida lying prone on the floor, clutching her throat. Even so, her blood was seeping out from between her fingers as if someone had slit it!

Beside her stood a thirtyish bulky man who was around Frank's height, holding a short sword with blood trickling down from its edge.

Color returned to Ida's pale cheeks when she saw Frank returned, and she withstood her pain just to jeer at the man. "Y-You're done for!"

The man ignored him and turned toward Frank. "So you're the famous Lugh Frankton? Can't say I'm impressed-you have nothing going for you aside from your good looks." "You're the one who hurt her?" Frank asked coolly.
