The two of them went to the quiet and secure passage in the building.
Both Edgar and Adrain’s assistants guarded the two ends of the passage.
Adrain leaned leisurely against the railing and asked, “What do you want to say?”
Edgar stared at him with cold eyes, his face icy.
your sister and Grace can’t get along in the future, who would you choose?”
Adrain pondered for a moment: “That won’t happen. Sarah already knows Grace’s identity, and as long as Sarah still cares about Patric, she won’t argue with Grace again.”
“Are you sure?” Edgar sneered and said, “From what I know, Patric and Sarah’s engagement had been arranged for two years, but they haven’t officially tied the knot yet. Patric recently asked for a breakup, but the family head of your family persuaded him to continue with the engagement.”
“So what?” Adrain replied cun ningly.
“You know Grace’s personality. Sarah has harmed her before, and her methods were very malicious. She will never get along with Sarah in this lifetime. Sarah is not someone who will take a loss, so you can only choose one between your sister and Grace.”
Adrain became somewhat annoyed.
“What’s wrong with you? Can’t I have both? I will try to mediate between them regarding their issues.”
Edgar laughed as he listened: “You don’t truly like Grace. You’re just fooling yourself. Your sister will eventually get married to someone else, and you’re hesitating in a situation like this. You’re simply not worthy of Grace.”
“Heh, it’s you who’s not worthy of her. Since the day you signed the agreement with her, you were destined never to remarry her.”
Edgar smiled indifferently. “If there’s no remarriage, then so be it. At least I can protect her in a different way. Before she completely rejects me, I have to find a man who truly loves and cares for her. And that man is definitely not you.”
Upon hearing this, Adrain’s expression softened and he stated, “You don’t know yet, do you? She has agreed to have dinner with me alone in three days. I will give her a grand surprise that day, and she will definitely accept my proposal. As for you, you will never have a chance!”

Adrain, with his elegant peach blossom eyes, gave a rare provocative smile.
Edgar’s tyrannical side started to rise, and he grabbed Adrain’s collar, his voice low as he warned him.
“You’ve been pretending for quite a while; I’m afraid you had an ulterior motive from the beginning of your friendship with her, right? Stay away from her from now on!”
Adrain shrugged off his hand dismissively and asked, “Do you really think you can stop me?”
It was true that Patric and Sarah’s engagement might not reach its conclusion.
However, the union between the Grammer and Smith families was an inevitable trend, and besides, Adrain genuinely liked Grace. Getting married would be a win-win situation.
But Adrain wouldn’t tell Edgar these thoughts.

After Adrain left. Edgar returned to the office with Eric. Just the thought of what Adrain said earlier about the three days made him furious, and he slammed his fist hard on the desk.
With a loud “bang.” Eric was startled.
“Boss, what are you going to do about Adrain?” he asked.
Edgar got angry whenever he mentioned that name: “Within three days, find a way to get rid of him. Send him packing as far away as possible from Frant City. Don’t bother me.”
“Oh, okay!”
Eric hesitated a bit. “But he has the backing of the Grammer family in S City, boss…”
Edgar snorted and glanced at him. “Just the Grammer family. They’re the weakest among the four major families in 5 City. And this time he came to Frant City without obvious bodyguards, sneaking in. Can’t you handle this?”
Liu Nian pursed his lips, feeling that his boss was exploiting and squeezing him. He was giving him difficult tasks!

Edgar’s expression returned to normal and he agreed, “Good.”
In the past half-month, Grace has shown a bit more trust in him. She didn’t make Fifteen and Seventeen, the two bodyguards, watch over him every day, and he was quite happy about it.
Three days later.
Because she had agreed to have dinner with Adrain tonight, Grace planned to leave work one hour early. Just as she finished tidying up her desk and was preparing to leave, she received a call from Eleven in the Bay Villa.
