Leigh answered swiftly, "Okay, deal."

Clayton heaved a sigh of relief. "Where are you? Austin will pick you up."

"I'm having dinner with a friend," she replied. "I'll send him the location."

After she ended the call, she sent her location to Austin, and he arrived fairly quickly.

Lucas and Leigh were almost done with their dinner, and they rose to their feet when they saw him walking over anxiously.

Leigh introduced them, "Austin Penham, Lucas Hart."

Austin and Lucas shook hands. Austin secretly thought, This is a romantic restaurant. Is Leigh dating the vice president of Hart Corporation? Why didn't I hear anything about it?

Leigh didn't care what he thought. So, she turned to Lucas and asked, "Do you have anything to do? Do you want to go with me?"

"Sure, I'll accompany you." Lucas nodded. It was late, and he would be worried about letting Leigh go out alone at night. Although she was tough, she was still a woman.

They got into the car. While Austin drove toward Clayton's house, he couldn't help but ask curiously, "Leigh, are you dating Mr. Hart?"

"No," she promptly answered. "We're on a blind date tonight."

"Oh..." Austin stopped talking. He wasn't sure if he could ask how their day was going, but from the looks of it, they seemed to enjoy their time together. Besides, based on Lucas' earlier words, he seemed to be rather attentive to her safety.

Austin's grandfather used to be Philip's subordinate, and both families were quite close, so he knew a little about Lucas. Lucas was Mario's illegitimate son, as well as the Hart Family's adopted son.


Based on Lucas' status, Leigh was out of his league. However, the situation with the Walker Family affected Leigh's status. The second branch in the Walker Family was far more successful than the main family, as Austin and Justin weren't the brightest. If their future offspring weren't talented, their family would be in decline sooner or later. Therefore, Lucas and Leigh could be considered a well-matched couple.

Nevertheless, no matter what Austin thought, he had no right to interfere with her affairs. Even if he told her his opinion, based on his understanding of her temperament and character, saying that she wouldn't care for it would be a massive understatement.

She had spent quite some time conversing with Lucas. So, when she entered the car, she wasn't in the mood to talk and remained silent throughout the journey.

After they arrived at the hospital, Austin led the way, and Leigh soon met Harvey.

Harvey was indeed on the chubby end, and his chubbiness seemed odd. His fair complexion and bulging belly made him look like a small hill when he lay in the hospital bed. His eyes were squeezed into slits by the amount of fatty flesh on his face.

She was experienced and had seen many patients, so she didn't show her surprise because of Harvey's morbid obesity.

The nervous Clayton reassured Harvey, "This is your cousin, Leigh. She is very good at medicine. She is treating Luna now, and Luna is recovering well. So please cooperate and let her check on you, okay?"

Harvey was awake, and his eyes were open, but he stared blankly at a certain point and did not react to the outside world at all.

She didn't hesitate as she began to read his pulse. Unfortunately, he was too chubby, and she spent more than ten minutes just reading his pulse with both hands.

After she succeeded in getting a reading, she carefully looked at Harvey's eyes and observed his tongue.

As she checked on him, she asked Clayton some questions, and Austin occasionally chimed in to provide her with some information. She could tell that Austin and Harvey were close.

Meanwhile, Harvey lay on the bed like a living corpse. He did not look like he had the desire to live.

After the examination, Leigh didn't beat around the bush as she said, "I can cure him. 20 million. Hurry up and prepare the payment."

"Really?"

"What?!"

Clayton and his wife, Yelena Baker, shrieked at the same time.

Clayton's voice was full of surprise and astonishment, while Yelena's voice was full of shock.

Leigh glanced past Clayton, looked at Yelena, and said slowly, "Mrs. Walker, you seem upset about the amount of the consultation and treatment fee."

"You're Harvey's cousin, aren't you? So how can you charge them for a visit? 20 million?!" Yelena tried to restrain herself from saying, Are you out of your f*cking mind?!

"Oh, you're not happy with the expenses." Leigh glanced at Clayton. "Why don't you discuss it further? I'll return when you're done, but once I return, be warned that it won't be just 20 million. I will and can charge more."

"There's nothing to discuss." Clayton frowned and gave Yelena a disgruntled look. "Leigh, I'm in charge of the money in the family. As long as you can cure Harvey, I'll pay whatever amount you name."
