As soon as Leigh said this, the expressions of everyone present drastically changed.

Even Harvey, who lay like a corpse, fluttered his lashes when he understood the implications behind her words. Then, he turned his head and stared at her with something akin to hope.

Just like Yelena, Leigh did not make her words clear, but everyone present could hear that she was alluding to something.

Yelena's expression became nasty. "What do you mean by that?! I know that you have a grudge against our family, but it was Penny who harmed you, not us! So, don't think you can drive a wedge between us just because of your bluff!"

"Calm down. I just stated a fact based on my expertise. Why are you so worked up about this?" Leigh opened the medical kit, took out her golden needles, and strode to Harvey. "I can help you recover to your original appearance, but I need you to work with me. Now, tell me, do you still want to die? I don't want to waste my time if you still wish for death."

Harvey stared at her unblinkingly and didn't say a word.

Austin went to Harvey's side and reassured him, "Harvey, you wanted to commit suicide because of your body image. Leigh has made it clear that she can help you go back to the way you were before. Please, Harvey, there is still light at the end of the tunnel!"

"Yes, Harvey!" Clayton chimed in, "Think about your previous appearance. You're smart, intelligent, handsome, and charming. As long as Leigh cures you, you will be able to return to your old self!"

"Don't you want to go back to the old days so those people who used to look down on you can see that you're back to normal?! Do you want to die like a coward?" Leigh did the preparatory work before acupuncture and threw some inciteful barbs at him with a dispassionate tone.

"Can I really lose weight?" Harvey finally spoke for the first time after she made an appearance.

She did not answer his question but turned her head to Austin and ordered, "Get a weight scale."

"Right away!" Austin immediately left the ward and searched for one. The hospital had plenty of weighing scales, so he quickly returned.

"Seeing is believing." Leigh pointed to the scale. "Stand up and weigh yourself. After that, I will perform your first acupuncture. You have serious symptoms, so the first acupuncture will have an undeniable outcome. You'll lose 10 pounds at the very least."

"Really?" Harvey gasped in awe.

Leigh said, "If I lie, my lie will be exposed after I treat you. So why would I bother lying to you?"

"Harvey, you need to give it a try!" Austin spared no effort to persuade him, "You have nothing bothering you except for your weight problem. If she can solve that problem, you don't have anything to worry about. Think about your father. Do you really want him to be sad because of you? Do you want him, an elder, to send you off before your time?"

"Harvey, please do this for my sake. I wouldn't be able to live with myself if something happened to you!" Clayton held Harvey's hand and begged with teary eyes.

Harvey swept his gaze across his father's graying hair for a moment, gritted his teeth, and voiced with difficulty, "Fine. I'll give it a try!"

Being alive was certainly better than dying. He wouldn't have thrown his life away if he hadn't been plagued by his obesity.

Austin and Clayton genuinely cared about him, and he didn't want them to be sad because of him.

Leigh only decided to proceed with the acupuncture after she noticed his desire to live and the wary hope in his eyes. She would not have been interested in treating him if he had looked so dead and hopeless.

Clayton and Austin helped Harvey to the scale, and Harvey weighed in at 335 lbs.

After that, Leigh began treating him, which was carried out for more than an hour.

After the acupuncture, Harvey and Leigh were sweating profusely, utterly drenched in sweat.

Her acupuncture technique was different from others as it was extraordinarily laborious. Even though she was physically fit, she was exhausted after an hour of acupuncture.

She removed all the golden needles from Harvey's body and instructed Austin, "Weigh him."

Clayton and Austin hurriedly supported Harvey to the scale and weighed him again.

313 pounds!

He was at least 20 pounds lighter than earlier! 20!
