“I was just tired last night, and you made such a fuss.” Arissa leaned over and playfully nudged Benjamin's thigh, laughing lightly.

Benjamin felt teased, his brows furrowed slightly. Seeing Shaun laughing on the side, he shot the latter a glare.

Upon catching his warning glance, Shaun quickly turned her head away, daring not to sneak another laugh at Benjamin.

After Arissa had rested for a while, Shaun checked her body. “Arissa, all your indicators are normal. There's nothing to worry about!”

Arissa also felt better these past couple of days, so she asked Shaun, “Does this mean I can be discharged from the hospital now?”

Shaun glanced at her, not responding directly, but instead turned his gaze to Benjamin.

Benjamin glanced at them. “It's better to observe for a while longer in the hospital!”

Although he could take her home, it was much more convenient to have her in the hospital.

Arissa pouted. She was missing home, feeling like it had been a long time since she last returned.

“I'm fine now. I can recover just as well at home! Staying in the hospital is really uncomfortable.”

Benjamin had little resistance to her soft, tender voice, but he still persisted.

“Stay one more day today after Shaun confirms that you're really okay. It's not too late to go back then!”

Shaun chuckled. “Arissa, we can't draw blood today. We'll do it tomorrow morning for a check-up. If there's nothing wrong, you can go home and rest!”

Arissa glanced at them, nodded her head, and thought to herself. It's just one day. I can bear with it.

Benjamin gently patted her head. “If you're bored, how about I take you to the park for a stroll?”

“No. I want to lie down!” Arissa said, feeling a bit lazy after a full meal.

Benjamin lowered the bed for her, helped her lie down comfortably, and covered her with the blanket.

Shaun noticed that the couple was completely ignoring him. He cleared his throat and suggested, “Arissa, we'll do another ultrasound this afternoon!”

“All right!” Benjamin nodded, taking note of it.

Shaun didn't bother them anymore, simply saying goodbye before heading out to get busy.

“I have something to tell you!” Seeing that Arissa seemed a bit bored, Benjamin gently touched her face.

“What's up?” Arissa looked at him lazily.

“In the morning, I told the kids that I would take them to the amusement park in the evening.”

Benjamin looked at her steadily. Seeing the sparkle in Arissa's eyes, indicating her desire to go, he added, “You can't go!”

Arissa's lips twitched slightly. She shot him a glance and huffed. “So, you're all just going to leave me and go have fun?”

Benjamin was at a loss whether to laugh or cry. He gently coaxed, “In your current state, it's not suitable for you to go there and play. Wait until you're better, then I'll take you there!”

Arissa curled her lips, not out of caprice but merely to tease him a bit.

“Go ahead. I can manage alone in the hospital.”

In truth, he could be at work right now. There was no need for him to stay by her side.

Yet, he simply refused.

Benjamin chuckled. “I'm taking them out for some fun. We'll be back later.”

“Take more photos!” Arissa reminded him with a smile.

Benjamin nodded. “Okay!”
